For those who don't know, Sanjay and I often work closely together. You can read more about our working style in this delightful New Yorker article written a few years ago by .

In April, '17, @jsomers of @NewYorker reached out & said he wanted to do a small profile of me & my longtime colleague Sanjay Ghemawat, watch us work for a few hours, maybe dinner, etc. It came out today. I think it captures our working style really well. newyorker.com/magazine/2018/

These are some interesting TODOs... 😇 Remind my future self to take these into mind, while exploration of the TensorFlow codebase. If its not much of a hassle, could you point me in the direction of the multi-threaded OpenMP implementation?

Actually, virtual pair programming is great! We set up a tmux instance that we both connect to, where we do editing, compiling, etc. We have a connected Google Meet meeting for talking, seeing each other, and sometimes screen sharing so we can look at profiles, etc. in browser.

I think it depends more on the type project, rather than changing that much over time. Sometimes we're working on project with just the two of us. Other times the two of us are working on project with five or ten other people.
