I respect Huawei’s technologies, it’s vision of ICT for development, and the many benefits of Huawei technologies for sustainable development. I was not and am not paid by Huawei.

I believe you, Jeff. You could be hating the US just like I hate China. We don't take money to hate, we are positive haters. 😂😂😂

My point is not hate of the US, but the need for US-China cooperation to solve problems and maintain global peace. Hate between nations is all too easy. Cooperation is hard and vital. I describe this in my new book A New Foreign Policy: Beyond American Exceptionalism.

Trying to understand situation. Happy to read suggested books & articles. I've not had occasion to visit Xinjiang in 15 yrs. WIth so much glib USG propaganda & denial of US wars and misdeeds I strive for cooperation. Hardliners beget hardliners, with grave dangers. Pls email.

I was referring to US propaganda generally. Twitter is not a very serious medium for a discussion.

It’s not that hard a situation to understand. They’ve put a million Muslims in camps in the last year and a half. People are told to recant their religious beliefs and worship Xi Jinping. People who resist are tortured.

Very difficult to square your forceful opinions on big picture China policy with this “trying to understand situation” comment.

I am sorry Dr Sachs, there is a ton a satellite and testimonial evidence showing China is operating a massive camp system in #xinjiang, in fact, @CCTV admitted to it

Curious if you ever met Uighur families distraught by their sons and families who turned up in Ibdid, Syria? Ask yourself why if you didnt. Estimates are there are at least 10,000 Chinese Uighurs there, half of them are jihadists.
