You should thank the Republican Party for their historic effort to elect Jeannette Rankin to the House in 1916. She was its' first woman.

"We need more women in office at all levels - because when we elect women, we all do better." You should also thank the Republican Party for electing Ronald Reagan for President in 1980. The same year he was sworn-in, he put the 1st woman onto the Supreme Court.
