"At least" 1.1 million K-12 students **never** showed up for school during 2020-21. We need careful analysis of what went wrong, accountability, and built in safeguards to ensure that such profound neglect of children's well being is not repeated.

Lockdowns hurt disadvantaged children the worst. But hey, at least the disproportionate, emotionally charged health measures satiated upper class adults’ anxieties and protected the political class. It also maximized big Pharma profits. Let’s boost low risk children!
