Want to work at your dream AAA studio? You've got to be exceptional - they get 500 resumes for one posted position. This means make games on your own, even if they're short ones. Show who you are as a dev.
Hiring managers & team leads say that soft skills are among the least developed and most desired. You can learn specific software onsite but learning how to follow, get & give feedback, how to be a team player, those are on you to learn. No one wants to hire a talented jerk.
As for college, find a program that is well rounded, with high graduation rates and job placement numbers, but most importantly where the graduates loudly proclaim they got a lot out of it - skills, community, confidence. Your odds are better but no guarantees.
However... if someone is known to be on the spectrum, accommodations can & should be made. So much talent on the spectrum!

I have 8 years of experience and done everything here and I'm still having trouble after 5 months! Even 2 years ago I had no problem. Feels like I'm going crazy

Great q! Resume crafting is another form of storytelling. I suggest a Profile Section that might look like this.
