And that IS a fair point. It's exactly what I said to my GF. Her, her mother, my mother, my aunt and my grandmother all work in nursing and are all non-religous and are all mothers. Not one of them felt there was a good reason not to circumsize. *shrug*

They acknowledged the idea, but felt it was as unnecessary as the appendix and the risks of keeping it made it, in their eyes, a no-brainer.

I've known a few men who were rather attached to theirs. Removing it from infants, who cannot consent, is a human rights violation. You can't even remove a corpse's organs for a transplant without consent. Corpses have more bodily rights than baby boys.

Except that organs, for the most part (sorry, Appendix) serve an important purpose. I'm NOT pro circumcision, for the record, I just don't like seeing this poor argument bandied about like a flopping cock.

The foreskin has multiple functions. I had my appendix removed at 15. I have never missed it. It was trying to kill me. Perhaps we could raise the standard we set for removing the foreskin. There are many men that wish they could have their foreskins back.

I live in Australia. Last I heard we are at less than 10% infant males circumcised. And we don't have an epidemic of aged 16+ men looking to get circumcised to stop the rampant infections and cancers Americans seem to think will occur if they don't stop cutting foreskins off.

The sex is better, for both partners, with uncut dick too. Just saying. I'd hate to be responsible for reducing the quality of my son's future sex life (as little as I try to think about that).

From the female perspective, I can say that I vastly prefer intact, and there are studies that indicate I'm in the minority, although I'd have to hunt them down.

Found an article that has some studies: In one, which mostly included men seeking circumcision for health problems such as phimosis, balantis and condyloma, 32% of participants reported problems, including a decrease in erectile function and sensitivity (J Urol 2002; 167:2113–6)

In another study, 20% of circumcised adults said their sex lives had worsened and 48% reported a decrease in pleasure from masturbation (BJUI 2007; 99:619–22).

This is an image of cut vs uncut. You can see the keratinisation on the left that forms as a type of callous, to protect the glans. On the right, the foreskin provides that protection leaving the glans soft and sensitive.pic.twitter.com/D4nBHQ08RH
