Unless there is some medical reason that makes it necessary (which is not the norm), no. It isn’t medically beneficial in most circumstances and is therefore elective surgery, which is a decision for that person when they are an adult.

This is my view 100% - though I don't limit this to surgery. Any elective body modification should be done when that person can make that decision him/herself

Infections are easily treated with antibiotics. STIs are more effectively prevented with condoms. Hygiene and safe sex are better solutions than amputation.

The Langorhan's cells removed during circumcision are a part of the immune system, which seems like a silly thing to remove if you're looking to reduce infections.
