    A few photos from this morning before I retreated from the rain. Wren singing in the reeds, beautiful male Goldeneye,Robin eager for the morsels I was offering and ringed Dunnock managed to sneak some food before being seen off by the Robins.

    Rather foggy at Rhos point this morning but managed to see some Common Scoter, Red-breasted Mergansers, Guillemot and Purple Sandpiper before fog closed right in. Choughs up on the Little Orme showed well above the fog,about 10 together and approx 70 Grey Seals on the beach

    I enjoyed watching this Mute Swan take so much care while bathing this morning Every feather was washed,preened and put back into place. Beautiful bird before and after its bath !

    Bit gloomy first thing this morning but the rising sun lit up the windows of this house across the valley. A little spot of breakfast for a Robin but this Swan was still snoozing. Firecrest didn't appear at all sadly 😏

    Great day in today.Whooper Swans, Redwing, Fieldfare,Goldcrest,large numbers of Dunlin, Brent Geese, Knot, & these fabulous Short-eared Owls .It's such a thrill to watch these Owls,and lucky to see one flying with prey right overhead

    Great day out today, starting with Snow Buntings then the rest of the day enjoying Crossbills at Llyn Brenig and a Redpoll on the very busy feeders. A huge flock of Fieldfare and a surprise Red Legged Partridge finished the day

  7. Spent a couple of hours at Cors Ddyga this am enjoying at least 5 Goldcrests,(no Firecrest😏), Wigeon,Lapwings in the sky,Reed Buntings,Stonechats posing,and it may just be Ivy but what beautiful colours. Finally, a Dunnock- understated but a favourite of mine.

  11. Bit of a misty and wet day today out with and Started with Firecrest,Goldcrest,Redwing and Chiffchaff at then this lovely Red Kite posed for a distant digiscoped photo at Caerhun.

    We've reached South Georgia and been out on our 1st Zodiac cruise. King,Gentoo & Macaroni Penguins delighted us,with lots of birds, including Snowy Sheathbill, and 3 species of seals.Much colder now, ice bergs around us in the sea! Please see new blog about our Zodiac adventure.

    We've crossed the convergence zone- warmer water changes to cold water, the real Antarctic! Looking forward to landing on South Georgia soon. Not much Wi-Fi but managed a blog so have a look for news !

  14. Beautiful sunny morning on Anglesey and how lucky were we as we arrived in time to see the Glossy Ibis at Valley - 5 minutes later it flew off! Late Chiffchaff delighted us in the hedgerow at Henborth enjoying the sunshine

  15. Great morning at Cemlyn,Anglesey with 2 Long-tailed Ducks, male Goldeneye, Golden Plover and distant photo of Grey Plover. Afternoon at The Spinnies with an obliging Water Rail and fallen leaves showing Autumnal colours.

  18. Last (😏) day of trip with Beautiful early morning light on this Reed Bunting at Titchwell. Heavy skies sea-watching at Holme,then Yellowhammer & surprise Corn Buntings.Evening light at Brancaster Harbour with a ringed Black-tailed Godwit, where from?

  19. Yet another great day with Lots of Divers close in-shore, watched a Merlin coming in from across the sea,bit of a stand off with 2 Marsh Harriers and a Peregrine, then at the end of the Rainbow - Shore Lark and 5 Lovely Snow Bunting 👍
