Sooooo I could take the "Operating Systems" course at school for $1200+ OR take https://training.linuxfoundation.org/linux-courses/system-administration-training/essentials-of-linux-system-administration … for $500 + $300 to write a quick paper and test out it and save money and do it at my own pace. Bonus: I get a certification from @linuxfoundation
Are the two fully comparable? Looks like the Linux Foundation one is focused on deep administration skills. Does the OS course go deeper to cover some more of the OS theory and design aspects, such as process scheduling, memory management, I/O interfaces and drivers, etc?

I emailed my mentor at school and she should be able to answer that question. The course description is not very helpful.
