    Cory Booker (D-NJ) wants to give poor kids nearly $50,000 in some cases "that they could use for wealth-building purchases, like a down payment on a house or college tuition." I'm sure this will end well.

    Here's a 1992 NYT article validating Prof. Sarich's noticing: "AIDS Deaths Tear at Figure-Skating World" In 1980s, AIDS death rates supported most old stereotypes of which professions tended to be gay, and revealed some new ones, like golfers aren't gay.

    Hilarious 1990 NYT article on Vincent Sarich. He said some 'naughty' things, like male ice skaters being quite gay on average. I'm kinda having trouble seeing what is naughty about it since it seems to indicate gays are better than heteros at something.

    Interesting origins for the famous behavioral geneticist

    "Plomin grew up in a one-bedroom flat in inner-city Chicago without books. Nobody in his family went to university, yet he was an insatiable devourer of books. An intelligence test identified Plomin’s ability and got him into schools where he could develop his talent."

    Chinese helped impose Bolshevism in Russia (40k soldiers was a lot in 1918). Russians returned the favor. There is a certain karmic symmetry in that.

    Not enough. Undergrad majors in social science too. Or maybe one in behavioral genetics, one in statistics, focusing on probability.

    Two classes in behavior genetics should be required for anybody who wants an advanced degree in social science; it is just that important to understand.
