    Here's a 1992 NYT article validating Prof. Sarich's noticing: "AIDS Deaths Tear at Figure-Skating World" In 1980s, AIDS death rates supported most old stereotypes of which professions tended to be gay, and revealed some new ones, like golfers aren't gay.
