Eep!im about to get the edit back for my YA fiction, which is exciting but also really nerve wracking too! Editing is the hardest part of writing for me. I love everything that I learn from it but my brain finds it difficult with the brain fog to do it. #AmWriting #AmEditing

I'm trying to desperately become more organised with my social media. I have so many ideas and things I’d like to do for my books, but at the same time, my body feels like cement...and I have a toddler. 🙄😩

If I had a swear jar that I used tonight, I think I would be very poor. Pain has reached incredible levels this evening. And not incredible in a good way... 😩

It's pretty immense when even putting glasses on your face is too painful due to post exertional malaise. Silence hurts but noise is agony too. The reality of M.E..

On discussion with Samuel this morning, I think that I had the worse night. Felicity was up at 5am, but I decided to get Felicity to go into him multiple times to even it out 😂

So we’re back to our familiar game: Who'll have the best night? Will it be Jessica who has to share a bed with a child who has been coughing all night with an asthma flare up and nightmares? Or will it be Samuel who has the sofa and a kitten who enjoys climbing the curtains?

This is a fantastic article which I urge you to read. At the height of my severe M.E., I was land flat for twenty-four hours, seven days a week. Interestingly, I was on blood thinning injections and it didn't cure my symptoms, although they did improve over time.

🗞️ Excellent article about #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis by @PatrickFreyne1 in @IrishTimes, with contributions from, among others, @Millondolly68, @b_m_hughes and @TomKindlon. #MedTwitter #MedEd #LongCovid #ChronicPain irishtimes.com/health/your-we

Writing short festive stories when it is freezing and dark makes me feel a bit more cosy in my duvet. It's nice to do something slightly different!

My daughter has picked up another bug and she asked me to sing baa baa black sheep, I started doing it over and over again to get her to sleep before she told me "Mummy, there are other verses you know. Please sing baa baa pink sheep and baa baa blue sheep". What even is this?!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm obsessed with checklists. The satisfaction I get from ticking something off my list is just joyous. I've got to the stage where if I do something and it's NOT on my checklist, I have to put it on my checklist so I can tick it off! 😂

I can’t read books at the min but my mum recently read both books by @jayletay and told me all about Jessica and her story and I’d definitely recommend people read these books!! 📚 In fact I think all medics should read these. Jessica you are an amazing person and inspire me.

We went on a long car journey over the weekend to go and see my 98 year old great aunt. I was always really close with her. She said to me "I didn't think I'd ever get to see you again" 😢. Pleased I got there and survived the trip with a 3 year old, but am suffering now.

I can confirm that I got the best deal as the kitten was wild and had Samuel up half the night. I mean I managed with only two wake ups, which considering how bad her nightmares have been, is impressive!

So tonight I'm on duty with the three year old who suffers with chronic nightmares and has a cough. My husband is on duty with the four month old kitten who has been asleep most of the day and is now wide awake. I wonder which one of us has pulled the short straw... @sb14121991

The reality of severe M.E. is really hard to describe. The fact that your muscles can feel to exhausted to help your body take a deep breath, that noise can be agony. It's a whole different level of suffering and it is imperative that this suffering isn't forgotten. #SevereME

Thank you so much for your incredible articles and your dedication to the ME/CFS community. As someone with very severe ME, I am so hopeful that journalism will bring more visibility to what severe versions of this disease look like. (1/17) #MECFS #SevereME

I have just had my first booking for a talk in 2024. I mean, I thought I was pretty organised with my dates but I haven't even got a calendar for 2024 yet...

Have to say I've been finding twitter a little bit full on of late. I just want to remind people to be kind. I kinda feel that the whole queue gate has gone too far now. Yes things could have and should have been handled differently but where are you going to get with trolling?

It's 07:07 am and I am yet to fall asleep... Well I think I might have dozed for twenty minutes at some point... Feel dead on my feet. Time to go to sleep.

Judging by the comments, I'm definitely not the only one! So seeing as I'm in a crash this eve in and can't move for pain, I'm going to listen to 's The Bullet That Missed 😊 (I'm loving it so far!)

How many of you have to listen to a sample of an audio book to see if you'll manage to stay interested with the sound of the narrator? I do love an audio book but I find it so difficult to concentrate if the narrator is boring or has no expression. #WritingCommunity #Audiobook
I have a list of things on my to-do list. Many that needed to be done today. They weren't huge things but were important, but I suffered a big crash at midday and ended up needing to be fed again as I didn't have any energy to move. I guess my to-do list shall have to wait. 🙄
