Jay Gordon, MD, FAAP Retweeted David Gorski, MD, PhD

Dr. David has said the same thing ever since I met him. He is certain that anyone who doesn't agree with him isn't a scientist and therefore every scientist agrees with him. David, there has to a name for that! Not Dunning-Kruger, but something like that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect …https://twitter.com/gorskon/status/1194000203646242816 …

Dr. Jay is most definitely not a scientist. He's been laboring under the delusion that he is a scientist at least ever since I first encountered him online, but he isn't.

Actually, @gorskon has decades of experience as a clinician and published scientist and explains his reasoning in excruciating detail in every encounter. @JayGordonMDFAAP simply cherry picks studies and commits malpractice.

The reason you are not a scientist is because you are incapable of evaluating the quality of research.

Still waiting to see where a productive scientist like you has published in the literature. After I found nothing at Pubmed, I went to Google Scholar and it asked me, "did you mean JON Gordon"? Coming up empty for some reason. As always, citations required.

@gorskon Use of D-K is ironic. As a scientist, I can tell who thinks like a scientist (uses scientific method to reject bad ideas) vs who does not. After some experience, it becomes second nature. Most MDs think like technicians or engineers (J Gordon), not scientists (D Gorski).

I don't see any resemblance between engineers and anti-vaccine MDs. The consequences when engineers ignore the science is a lot more direct and obvious than holding a false medical belief is.

@gorskon That defines some fluoridationists also who tear apart any study that criticizes fluoride; but who disappear when you ask them to defend the 1945 human studies purporting to show fluoridation is safe and effective. They were cut short & didn't look at brain effects etc
