    A7: I love this. "Student outcomes are about students, not outcomes." That is why I like to use the words "data informed" instead of "data driven." Students are more than the numbers and we always have to remember the whole story

    A6: I believe we have to be part of the POSITIVE. There is so much negativity around education. The work we do is hard. Smile. Show your enthusiasm and passion. Buckle up and go at it. No one is going to feel sorry for you

    A5: Words we use over and over - Kindness, empathy, love. Never be afraid to use the word love at school. I love our kids and I love what I do.

    A4: Love this question! I'll go with "know who you are teaching." I believe that building those relationships is first and foremost. When I interview I want to feel the passion and love for kids. Not just hear it. Content and technique can be learned

    A3: We once spent the first day's meeting taking a bus to visit the school secretary who was out because she had surgery. We went to he house and sang the school song on her lawn.

    A1: (Because I have more than one piece of advice) The smile is the first and last thing the kids should see everyday. Be yourself and let the students and staff know who you are. Work hard. Stay humble. Have fun

    A1: I always tell new teachers that it doesn't take long to figure who some of the best teachers in the building are. Once they find that out, follow them everywhere.
