If athletes are paid by university, what happens to all other sports other than men’s football and basketball? Those two subsidize all other programs. It would be the end of scholarships and all other sports. None of those support themselves.

This is 100% the way I feel. Plus, it is really only the Power 5 conference’s who turn a profit (at football). Where is all this money coming from? Universities shouldn’t pay players. They should be able to market themselves outside the university.
