It’s like any other non drone gimbal, not weird in that regard. In this case it could allow the camera to rotate 90 degrees for vertical video

Maybe the 2 little holes right behind the front facing sensors...they aren't huge but who knows it could be them.

Why? It appears to have forward and rearward obstacle sensors, likely active track, improved 4k camera, improved flight time, and more all while staying under 249 grams? it is a huge upgrade from the mini 2. Now as for the price… we shall see.
