Walton was due to render his decision next week on whether to further unredact the Mueller report in response to our #FOIA lawsuit. Now he wants DOJ to appear next month for several days for an ex parte hearing related to the merits of the redactions.

This is a big deal and here's why. I've filed 74 #FOIA lawsuits against the govt. Judges always give deference to the govt re: redactions. But Walton, who has already said Barr mislead the public abt the Mueller report, isn't taking the govt's word the redactions are justified
