Out of curiosity and ignorance why don’t songwriters pull their music from the services? No music, no services?

If everybody agreed to do that all at once, it could potentially solve the problem. However, it’s hard enough to get all of us to show up to bus call on time, much less pull a big ol’ business coup.

I buy your CDs. I don’t know if that’s better for you, but streaming services do not satisfy. I need liner notes and album art. I need to hold it in my hand!

CD still sounds best to me

The very sentence “...a song is not worth a penny” is a crime.

But it would make a nice line in a protest song against the streaming services.

This is why I don't use streaming services. I buy the music I listen to on DVD, preferably from the artist themselves. I spend thousands of dollars on music and concerts. It's well worth it as it's comfort food for my soul.

A CD avoids a lot of the drawbacks of Mobile Apps. It can't log your likes/dislikes and sell the information to marketers, it won't require access to your photos or log your location, and it won't hog system resources or max out your mobile data. Something to think about.

My philosophy if you have Spotify and you like an artist you buy their music in physical form be it LP or CD and listen to Spotify version when out and about but physical form when relaxing at home
