    Thx & for joining me! If we’re truly going to improve our crim justice system, we must bring all of our stakeholders to the table, from initial contact, fairness in the court system, victims, sentencing, incarceration and reentry into the community.

    Even Ronald Reagan said, “Optimism comes less easily today, not because democracy is less vigorous, but because democracy's enemies have refined their instruments of repression.” In Nevada we are still optimistic that democracy will prevail over their instruments of repression.

    The right to vote is fundamental. It gives Americans a voice in what happens in our nation. When more people have a voice, our democracy becomes more representative, and our nation becomes stronger. We won’t give up the fight to strengthen our right to vote.

    If one’s reaction to embracing diversity is urging color blindness, they miss the point. You can't address problems you aren't willing to see. Diverse doesn’t only mean race. Nevada reps a diverse constituency AND diverse ISSUES. It’s 2021 NH.

    Prof Kagan, thank goodness we discuss policy for this very reason. After vetting, if it makes sense we move forward & if it doesn’t, we don’t. What I’m most convinced of is we need to be willing to discuss options b/c the status quo is not working for the interest of our kids.

    I am less convinced than you are that electing school boards is working for the interests of kids. But I am definitely not convinced that this would make things better.
