This will all probably get lost in the annals of our day-to-day insanity, but this might be the best example yet of how effective Russian disinformation has been in large part due to a far-right media apparatus that is emboldened by the administration.

Journalists get stuff wrong all the time. It happens. But this is far beyond any sort of honest mistake. This is getting willfully dragged around by your nose and then moving on because in the end it still served the greater cause of, for lack of a better phrase, owning the libs.
