wow... @tedcruz is dunking on @LondonBreed @GavinNewsom & @chesaboudin literally taking California's frontier philosophy of opportunity, creative destruction, competition, freedom & capitalism & claiming it for Texas This is REALLY well done.https://twitter.com/SenTedCruz/status/1338618290151841794?s=20 …

Businesses are fleeing California and flocking to #Texas.   That’s because, in TX, we know that lower taxes and fewer regulations lead to greater prosperity and economic growth for all.

I know @jeffiel put up a spirited defense of the Bay Area, which I respect, but let's be candid: our politicians are not pro-business & they're incompetent They won't develop housing .. lower taxes .. police fentanyl dealers/violent crime .. & they're in the pockets of unions

I think we need more centrists & qualified, pro business folks in public office if we want to save California

We in California do not have Ted Cruz “representing” us. For that, I am eternally grateful.

I hate @tedcruz, who is a coward who left Trump insult his wife and then bent the knee to him.... but Cruz is spot on in his pitch to California's innovators.

Are you seriously forgiving Cruz for any of the insanity he was involved with this year, and promoting him? Bad move

In California even the centrist politicians turn hard left, Example: Ro Khanna When he first contested, he projected himself as a centrist tech business friendly democrat. But after winning he sensed an opening in the Bernie wing of the party and pivoted to hard left.

If you really think about it this is just a tacit acknowledgment that - as a rule - people would not choose to leave California for Texas, all things being equal. Dangle some pretend tax savings, make it easier to screw workers, pollute...then things change. For some.

It is ok Texas need this. There are counted days till Oil will no longer provide them a financial protection. I am glad that Austin is becoming an important tech hub for Texas and U.S.

Oil production taxes would account for 6.1% of the budget, and 1.5% of Texas jobs. It’s important but not dependent.
