Fantastic book. His other work is way too preachy and pretty blatant in its attempting to portray himself as “one of the good ones” to his white conservative pals, but “Basic Economics” (along with “The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money”) is required reading.

I also recommend his book Marxism: Philosophy and Economics. Especially if you're a recovering ex-Marxist like me

"A Conflict of Visions" is also a must read.
It's probably the Sowell book responsible for the most red pills.
