Aah OK, I might be getting there. But isn't this question, or critique of Marx, if it is one, itself invalidated by the premise of a state that's both strong and pro-2A?

We can distinguish between a government and a state. A state is a monopoly on force, governments run things. Governments can be pro-2A, the state is a tendency which, being a monopoly on force, must oppose 2A or equivalent. It is not necessarily a critique of Marx
