Ironically, the myth that a certain kind of white voter controls American politics is far more pervasive and powerful than those actual white voters are.

Some of you need to come up with a better take than Democrats' only way to win is to embrace a candidate who uses racist dog whistles because he's the one who can win over Trump voters. Or, at least make your argument more explicit so we can stop playing around.

Donald Trump May Be One of the Biggest Losers in America The “VERY successful businessman” only paid income tax twice between 1985 and 1994—and lost more money than “nearly any other individual American taxpayer.”

The New Orleans Times-Picayune sale came suddenly, but the seeds were planted years ago when its owners foolishly went to three-day-a-week delivery -- and when a once-sleepy paper 80 miles away woke up and start punching above its weight.. My column

If you want to understand the Democratic Party stop listening to white Twitter socialists with trust funds living in gentrified Brooklyn or Oakland and start listening to older Black people in South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida. Then 2016 and 2020 Dem races make sense

We've been over saturated with media coverage from the former for the past 4-5 years and essentially heard nothing from the latter. Start talking to Black voters. Start hiring Black political commentators. Then you'll understand why these things are happening.

Two true things: 1. Times story on Trump losing over $1 billion dollars over 10 years is an amazing piece of work and shows he's a con man. 2. Many in his base love him for getting away with such shit and would like to live as he does.

In April, a woman allegedly gave birth alone in a jail cell after seven hours labor, her cries for help unheeded by guards. Some thoughts in my latest column:

A grand jury investigation, a wrongful death lawsuit, and legislative hearings didn't unearth the video that Sandra Bland took of her own arrest. An investigative reporter did. Kudos to , & the Investigative Network.

Chinese-Americans in this case did not sue to end segregation, just to benefit from it. So, I think this case ironically did not make the point he was trying to make. (SCOTUS, btw, ruled Chinese could not go to white school)

In addressing Chinese-American parents testifying to keep the *incorrectly* sites 1927 Lum v Rice case as about Chinese being excluded from public schools. It was actually abt them wanting to be classified as white and therefore not assigned to black school
