"The combined findings of these studies reveals a tendency to frame domestic violence in a way that shifts blame away from the perpetrator, does not enhance public understanding of the complexity of the issue, sensationalises & omits certain forms of DV."

I’m struggling to control my despair at so many rich white people (men>women) who reject , and any sense of equality. They take a Liberal HTV and don’t look back This is our future, our kids future- how can people not care? Please vote for progress 🕊

When I asked some St Kilda residents who they're going to vote for on Saturday, they reminded me why I love living here.

I think it was just before Zoe Daniels came on the scene, but I bet he still expected that woman to vote for him.” (3/3) And that is the end of this story about entitlement. (Unless the story actually ends on Saturday)

She stopped, but they ignored her and kept talking. She ended up pushing the pram into the restaurant to get past them and they still didn’t move. She was furious but they didn’t even look at her. In the middle of Brighton’s main street and heaps of people were watching. (2/3)

Story from a barista in Brighton: “Tim Wilson was standing on the footpath, talking to a couple of other blokes just outside the door to our restaurant. A woman with a pram came up, she couldn’t get past because they were blocking the footpath. (1/3)

My suggestions are for is an outstanding Senator & we need First Nations women to join and stay in parliament. - true independent. Stuck (like me) on the timing to get party registered but you can still vote for her above the line (Col T)

They will need to be pushed into making change on all these issues. Independents and Minor parties can do that. Group voting tickets were abolished in 2016 so there are no preference deals now. You allocate your preferences yourself.

It's very unlikely either major party will have a majority in the Senate. IMO this is a very good thing. Neither of them have a vested interest in real action on climate change, gender equity, funding & integrity in politics, housing etc

Thoughts on Senate vote (Vic): Your vote in the house of reps is about who forms government. Your vote in the senate is about how they govern. You need to number at least 6 boxes above the line or at least 12 below the line

Men also much more likely to be able to refill super and therefore not suffer poverty in old age if they do take up this appallingly short sighted policy.

Women - DO NOT FORGET This is how the LNP have treated women over the last 3 years - politicians accused of rape and abuse - DV funding cuts - Sexual violence survivors denigrated - >100K women peacefully marched but ignored by the PM Vote for and your own safety

Tim Wilson has been left with egg on his face after scolding a constituent, telling them they should “show a little respect to the Jewish community” — the person he scolded was an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi who was calling out disrespectful Jewish-themed photo ops by Liberals.
