Lincoln City Councilwoman Jane Raybould announced she's running for the District 28 seat in the Legislature, the seat being vacated by Patty Pansing-Brooks, who is being term-limited out of office.

There’s no time to be cynical. There is just too much work left to be done. And people are counting on us. People are counting on YOU.

We have energized new voters across Nebraska looking at the numbers of ballots cast today and still coming in and all the early voting. And, tens of thousands of new Nebraskans are exercising their voice. We will build upon this and keep fighting.

This was a hard fought campaign. And we came up a little short this time around. But even in defeat, we have left a mark. We have moved the dial for our state.
