    John McWhorter is a nice guy whose writing I have been reading for years. It takes a lot to make him mad, but accusing him of inciting violence for criticizing plainly absurd K-12 policy seems to be the ticket.

    This is super dishonet. AOC frames a popular sentiment in the nicest way possible and compares that to an ugly description of a fringe position on the right. That's like me comparing tax cuts to tax hikes by saying "would you rather keep your money or die in a communist gulag?"

    Imagine thinking that ‘healthcare is a human right’ vs white supremacist conspiracy theories are two views “just as extreme” as the other 🤡🤡🤡

    A lot has changed & there is a lot more to do but this is a day to celebrate. 3 million people & their dependents given a lifeline: able to come & build a new life in the UK, should they want to. It’s not perfect, it’s not cheap & it should go further. But it’s still huge.

    A year & a half ago, I had a reporting gig & was standing outside the British Consulate in HK as people demonstrated for expanded BNO rights. If you’d asked me then what are the chances of it happening, I’d have told you, emphatically, 0%. Today, the UK’s BNO visa scheme opens.
