why can’t people just do things like this in private why does it have to be recorded ? if it’s genuinely from the heart it doesn’t have to be for the world to see !!!!!pic.twitter.com/AWZFzALASs

2,500 likes and 800 retweets is why. This is done on an everyday basis. Not everything needs to be publicized.
-
clout is the most dangerous drug in the world & that’s a fact brandon

-
I’m just going to have to agree to disagree. Yeah you can do things in private and have the same impact, but social media is a platform that can be used to inspire and with all the negative shit posted on a daily basis why not. Not everyone does something seeking attention.
-
I think this was a genuine gesture recorded and posted to be inspirational not for clout. This young man didn’t have to go out of his way to do what he did for another student. Think about how many hearts this post just touch & how many people are inspired to do a good deed now.
-
Exactly, and negativity is recorded and spread everyday why not share something so beautiful ?
-
They would rather watch a negative story, utterly moronic.
-
That’s definitely what it seems like instead of being grateful for how inspiring this could be for some people, it’s tough

It’s just funny to me how you guys love when negative shit is recorded for your entertainment but when it’s positive it should be done in private. Keep posting positivity
-
its a different type of bitter when someone gets mad over seeing heartwarming generosity
-
For the last 2 years I been giving back to the community in 3 different city’s and post it to inspire others . Not looking for clout or anything . This just shows you how evil some hearts are
. No one never wants to see positive stuff . -
For example these people was so grateful even the man suggested he could wear a 17 in women’s and I found a man size for him

nothing is wrong with recording yourself giving to the need if you do it off camera 2!
-
I honestly do it to inspire others to go out and give back I also do it off camera all the time . It seem like people rather share people who worship materialistic things, That’s all you see or money .
-
And negative stuff sadly
but hopefully this open some hearts . - 1 more reply

When he said thank you. He said that with the tone of “idk how I’m going to repay you but one day I’ll do something for you”

-
You know...this is a good joke.

Idk if it's just me, but I feel really uncomfortable when people record & post their good deeds. It kinda makes the whole thing seem less genuine & takes away from the value of the whole thing. if that makes sense.
-
Makes zero sense, the homeless kid still got a new jacket and $80 if it’s posted on the internet or not?
-
You're not getting the point. It's about the principle, not the action. Would you like me to further explain? Your baby is super cute btw!!! :)
-
But if it was something negative you would’ve loved to see it and would’ve been making hella jokes
-
Lol I really wouldn't but go off
-
The thing is why are you ignoring the act itself & choosing to find something negative about it? Social media is used to push negative narratives all the time but when it’s used to be inspirational it’s wrong?
-
But why in the middle of the hallway at school? Why is the ACT itself getting recorded? I love that people are using SM to inspire others to do good deeds, but this kinda stuff happens everyday. And imagine how the guy receiving that felt being on camera. Come on.
-
& whose to say he even cared about the camera. Again you are literally choosing to find something negative about a generous act. You’re saying yes this is great BUT when there shouldn’t even be one. Y’all project negative insecurities onto other ppl & think you’re right.
