Shot a video for the brilliant Katy J Pearson. I heard ‘Take Back The Radio’ on Radio 6, loved it, reached out to Katy on Insta. A month or so later we’re making her next video together. Sometimes social media sucks, sometimes it’s just incredibly brilliant.

My genuine eccentric funny dear friend and regular collaborator in light & dark film creations, Mr Aidan Gillen giving my band The Jenny Hanivers, a shameless plug here. Asked him to plug the CP festival, not the band. Oh well, too late now.

Wow, thank you Aidan Gillen for your support and wonderful shout out for #CrystalPalaceFestival 💕 Tune in this weekend and catch @JamieThraves (The Jenny Hanivers). As we live-stream a full weekend of incredible artists. p.s can anyone work out what it is in the background?!

Compassion & reason is a 2 way thing. Human beings talking to human beings. Huge praise & respect to the incredibly smart empathetic woman who got through to the souls & consciences of these guards, who really are just pawns in this crazy time. This feels likes progress.

I was about to get into an argument with a chap whose opinion I 100% disagreed with. I’m so glad I showed restraint and compassion and just listened to his rants. He realised I wasn’t biting back. He softened then opened up to me that his father had died two days earlier.

How appalled are people that vietnamese children donated their pocket money to buy and send 20k facemasks to us in the UK? We are the fifth richest economy in the world, if this doesn't prove to you how broken and corrupt our government is, I just don't know what will.

Did this interview for Rolling Stone. Thought it was for a one or two line soundbite like it’s always been, ended up being the whole interview. I’m more than a bit surprised to be honest.

I know I’m late to the party but ‘Succession’ is just brilliant. Knew I’d really like it but just took ages to get round to watching it. Jeez there is so much content out there now it makes one stall from watching anything sometimes. Few shows grabbing me instantly at the moment.

Huge fan of Tony Slattery.

Very proud and honoured to have been asked to contribute to this book on one of my all time favourite film directors, Yasujiro Ozu, one of the greatest film directors who ever lived. I just need someone to translate it for me.
