  5. The UK Gov must play a role in de-esclating the violence we're seeing in Gaza. As part of an international community, we have a responsibility to put pressure on both the Israeli government and Hamas to abide their commitments under international law. Innocent people are dying.

The actual people that do the hard graft - ie. filling potholes and maintaining roads - are heroes. We should thank them, not scorn them. They’re not responsible for both the U.K. and Scottish Govt’s neglect of the Highlands.

This. The Holyrood election is over, very little has changed, and I’m left feeling acutely worried about Highland communities. I’m sure I’m not alone. We are really, really struggling. We cannot afford another 5 years of inaction on depopulation and healthcare inequalities.

Already Tories and SNP fighting over independence. This is exactly what we didn’t want to see. People continue to suffer in poverty. Drug deaths continue to rise. Hospitals continue to be downgraded. Schools are on the brink of closure. But hey Ho!
