So Scotland, you had the poll tax forced on you...which you didn't want. Then lived under the tories again & again...who you didn't vote for. Now a brexit you flat out rejected. Are you done with this UK shit yet? Can we get it together and do it our way?

Tories: 52% is the will of the people to deliver Brexit. Also Tories: 52% is not enough support for a referendum on Scottish independence.

We shouldn’t let anywhere near the Climate summit in Glasgow, his party wanted to frack us. His party wants to reopen nuclear power stations & force trident missiles on Scotland. Meanwhile is almost meeting 100% renewable energy target.

Honestly, following the reaction of the international press in countries like France and Spain, I am increasingly convinced that 's statement today was more aimed at strengthening Scotland's image in Europe and in the world than at convincing anyone in Scotland

Tonight makes me more determined than ever to work hard to make sure an independent Scotland joins the world and the EU.

BREAKING: UK leaves European Union. It’s finally over*. *With the exception of endless trade negotiations, Brexit being blamed for everything that goes wrong in the foreseeable future and decades of bickering over whether or not it was a good idea.

I have zero hope, or trust, in anything that stems from the UK govt now. Completely detached from it all. I hope this is what brexit was always supposed to mean; A huge swathe of the population disconnected from the govt & the scheming prats within it.

Chilling, in 2020, to see the 🇬🇧 govt constantly plot against a country; the ppl & govt of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. To keep us quiet, keep us down, keep us from our potential & to keep us to heel with the lie we rely on a uk They use the ruse theyre against the snp as spin for it all.

Maybe Nicola Sturgeon didn't deliver the speech that the hardcore supporters of the independence movement wanted necessarily to hear, but she gave a speech that leaves a door open to former No voters, and shows the international community that we're trying to be reasonable.

I don't understand any splintering of indy supporters. Yes, we all want now, today, but we know a wildcat ref or UDI would get laughed down with zero recognition. Those stirring up anger seem keen to splinter yes supporters to their smaller causes. No one wins then?

The image as a whole doesn't exactly present the UK being one of rejuvenation and inclusiveness to the world? More like a rotting has been, trying to cling on to the nostalgia of a long gone past. We won't get a date for indyref today but, I hope, a plan

Theres something about that makes me want to reject being English altogether. Half of the country has been dragged through this Brexshit and I'd rather just say I'm European. Why shouldn't Scotland be given that choice as an independent country?
