I see umbrellas are popular in japan. Question: do you use an umbrella? Is it considered "weird" if you don't use one?
-
Yeah, people here are amazing with umbrellas. The slightest rain and suddenly...from nowhere...umbrellas everywhere. Me, today, no umbrella. I’ve gone for a hat and scarf combo.

Oo lucky! We haven’t had much snow in New Zealand for 3 years! (In the area I live in)
-
Us neither actually! About 4 years. You’re the lucky one, living in glorious New Zealand

How magical! I'll be coming over to Japan for a short holiday mid-February on the way back from Oceania Internationals - do you think there's any chance it will still be snowing?
-
In my experience in Tokyo it tends to snow a lot for a short burst and then it’s done. Like a surprise snow attack. But, in February it’s still very cold, so you never know!
