      How did a native English speaker like yourself get to work for a Japanese company, TPCi no less? The company is pretty strict on hiring international employees, isn't it? (or maybe that's just Nintendo?) You must have quite a story behind you.

      Game Freak:) And I came to Japan by getting a job via my portfolio and an interview...and learned Japanese as I went along!

      Whoops, I meant Game Freak. Did you have a portfolio of character designs? Or did you get a different position and work your way up to designing pokemon?

      I was Art Director on Pokemon Battle Revolution and Pokemon Trozei before joining Game Freak...they hired me as a 3D Artist. Even now, designing Pokemon is just my side work at the company, when I can grab a bit of time!
