Neat! There is one thing I've been wondering about this family since B&W, maybe you can clear up this wild speculation of mine for good? :D Was Vanillite thought of as being a literally "fresh" homage-counterpart of the polluting Koffing-line at any point of its inception?
I had Koffing in mind a little bit when designing the line...but only afterwards did I realize the fresh / foul counterpoint

I feel like it's THE coolest (xD) case of a gen1 homage-design in all of gen5 (which felt like introducing cross-generational counterparts was a huge part of it), it's so interesting and subtle that you only notice it when accidentally thinking of both Weezing & Vanilluxe :D
