The backgrounds are so well implemented that I wondered whether they were actually modeled for the majority of the video !! "This one building is a model... wait, no it's not. Is it. It's not ?"
Haha thank you! Yeah I used a number of techniques depending on the shot - some were more like 3D matte paintings. But there wasn’t a single second of video footage in the whole short - all photos and polygon trickery

Oooo, texture projection on polygon primitives ? I hadn't thought of it, that stuff tends to work super well. Trickery kind of is the backbone of 3D work after all. Thank you for your answer !!
