Fun fact! The logotype used on the Virtual Boy is the same one used for the SNES logo, as well as the prototype Nintendo (Ultra) 64 logo!

Why was the head strap scrapped? That would've fixed the problem in the first place

I heard it was to prevent long play sessions. Early VR was prone to inducing headaches and motion sickness/nausea, and the tech in the VB was no exception. A head strap would have encouraged longer play sessions, resulting in a reduced player satisfaction over time, in theory.
