I dig #TheBatman trailer...Matt Reeves did a great job with the Apes movies, so I’m stoked. It was 16 years between Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Begins, and it’ll be 16 years between Begins and The Batman. I enjoyed the Burton movies (the first two anyway). Gotham looked so dark and dreary compared to the more modern looking Nolan ones.
Yeah I loved Art Deco Gotham in that movie.
I still love Burton Batman. Batman is just weird and anime and I think he embraces it rather than trying to reframe it entirely for film audiences . Does it work better? Nah probably not, but I love it still.
