ha, "puzzle", i get it. I could tell a lot of these were tricky-- also, many of these use shading/ colors like art from the anime, were you constrained to that or was it your choice?

I think we used the pantone colours from the reference sheets, the way we shaded them was our choice though.

I lost the original copy, but Pokemon Trozei was my very first Nintendo DS game. I have fond memories singing the commercial.

It seems like the same icons were used in some newer games, like Pokemon Shuffle, but just ressed-up from Trozei. Did you have any involvement with the newer games in this style, or did another artist just emulate your style for icons of newer mons?

I didn’t have any involvement, I think they just continued with the style that I established.
