Obviously there are lots of white college voters who support Trump - the US has lots of white college graduates. But the education gap in support for Trump, and for the GOP, is absolutely real. Most white college voters oppose Trump. Most white non college voters support him.

i bet privileged people are also overrepresented among antiffa and others who can afford to fly to a city to join protests. that doesn't mean there aren't economically hurting advocates for police reform

Democrats managed to pretend for a century that they helped poor people, without ever actually helping poor people. It transformed the party into a party of rich people who want to look like they help poor people. Now it's the Republicans turn to pretend they help poor people

Another dividing line is whether your pay is based on salary/wages (lower risk) vs commissions/profits (higher risk - think salesmen, business owners, anyone who ever looked in the mirror and saw John Galt/Hank Reardon/ Dabney Taggert) They all see Trump as one if themselves.

You know Trump's behavior is bad enough and the Capitol Hill rioters awful....but injecting critical race theory into this and making this all about "white supremacy" which it isn't is just going to make things worse..
