You maybe could think of it as a dividend, not on past earnings, but on productive capacity, 'the machine pays for it'-style. You'd still have the problem that it appears to be a function of excess rather than justice though.

I call bullshit on that dividend analogy. Only works if you accept the incomprehensible ROI calculation. More like the equivalent of asking Pepsi to allocate 10% of total yearly sales to shareholder dividends. Big ask? Maybe. But absolutely doable.
