A $15/hour minimum wage would net me an extra $160/month. The Freedom Dividend would net me an extra $1,000/month.

I love the idea of 15/hour. But in practice it’s easily circumvented. Big companies can simply cut hours. Invest heavily in AI to reduce jobs. Outsource labor overseas. Small companies and businesses have to pay it, further the competition gap with big ones, and inevitably fold.

And it doesn't afford consenting power. You could make the minimum wage $50/hour, and you could mandate that employers pay a minimum number of hours, but that wouldn't change the fact that people would be in the relationship due to coercion, not due to choice.
