Republican senators in NC proudly refuse to wear masks on the senate floor. Why? Because Trump won’t wear one, and that’s turned this into a partisan issue. I urge you to be thoughtful about this. It’s not a political statement. It’s obvious and easy.
Senator, your statement could easily be misconstrued to imply every Republican does not wear a mask in our chamber. It could also be misconstrued to imply every Democrat wears one every moment, unless speaking. Do you think that to be accurate?

I honestly cannot believe you would take up this fight, but I am absolutely here for you. You sat in that chamber for months. You saw day after day with literally zero Republicans wearing masks. You saw some days with one or two. You get no congratulations for that.
