The document is mainly a dialogue with philosophers and theologians, and with other church documents; but not with scientists and biologists, not with psychologists, and certainly not with LGBT people, whose experiences are given little if any weight.
The only thing that should enter into the discussion is "How does God feel about it?" Truth is all that is important. When we fall into line with what God wants is when we will be healed from sin that destroys us.
Well, God looked at his creation and called it good, and part of that creation is trans, intersex, and non-binary people, so...

It’s on the science of gender (as well as lived experience), intersex, what happens in the womb, how our sex organs form - just all so new to me, a progressive.
God created us all in his image and likeness. God does not make mistakes. This should be the starting premise of any discussion about sexual orientation not understood by the church, & to learn, it must include the medical and psychiatrist experts.
Talking about people without our talking to them first. {sigh}. If this is what the current structure is giving us, why not just burn it down and start over? They are insisting on their irrelevance.
One of the most frustrating things about the church is how reluctant our philosophers & theologians are to talk w/current scientists & psychologists. Instead they continue to rely on understandings of human biology, sexuality, anthropology that are based in 4th century science.
How can they get away with stating things as though they are true, when they really don't appear to be listening to scientific research? This is damaging. It damages real people - children of God - and the credibility of the Church.
