All jokes aside, I somewhat understand the reasoning behind abbreviated public subscriber counts. However, I do think that @TeamYouTube should have a system where you can have public access to a live count in the 1% build up to a YouTuber hitting a milestone.

agreed. i understand they want to reach more positive heights with this, but i’ll miss the countdown. maybe they could implement some sort of event you can activate on your channel so everyone can see the countdown idk or at least have it so you can see your own live count

it’d be nice for the individual creator to see the livecount, but imagine not being able to see pewdiepie hit 100M. wouldve felt like less of a celebration. it’s a positive thing to celebrate people milestones. so i hope they find a way to keep that celebration
