    It’s actually really sad how many people want to stay in lockdown life forever. I think there will be a wide swath of American hikikomori. We should think about programs to help them.

    And guess what? There was plenty in incentive for them to build and invent even though the payoffs weren't as obscenely large as they are today. There's a lot of space between enough incentive and too much.
