Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Youtube and the like privately owned? I believe that means it'd be more akin to going into a restaurant and saying whatever you want, rather than the public square, which I believe only applies to Government/public funded places.

The public sphere by definition can't be owned. The question is really what circumstances bring the public sphere into existence. A restaurant may not reach a threshold necessary to consider it the public sphere (but it might). Again, this is prior to law.
