The big element in the Boris story isn’t that there was a heated argument, it’s that the police were called. The police were called by the same person who recorded Boris and gave the story to the Guardian.

That’s two Tory MPs abusing in women in 24 hours. No doubt Jimbo defends them both.

I’m a Conservative party member and these obvious attempts to smear #BorisJohnson by the #MSM make me a lot more likely to vote for him, not less.

Listen, you utter tw*t. My daughter was killed in her home by her abusive partner during an argument. If her neighbours had done what Carrie Symonds' neighbours did, she might still be alive. Don't you dare try and shame people who were helping a woman being abused.

I am really really sorry to hear this Lawrence. And yes, there needs to be more nosy neighbours when there are domestic incidents. It literally can save a life. https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/crimeandjustice/bulletins/domesticabuseinenglandandwales/yearendingmarch2018 …

Don’t think we can dismiss that the neighbour stood to gain financially from calling the police (maybe politically too). And did gain when then calling the Guardian to tell/sell them the story/recording. And crucially the police also stated no offences/concerns on investigation.

I've been the victim of domestic abuse and it was a concerned neighbour that saved my life. No ulterior motives, just a genuine concern for my safety. But yeah, just you try and defend the indefensible, Mr Not-So-Cleverly, slow clap 👏👏👏

I don't think he is criticising calling the police. It is recording the voices and selling the story to a tabloid newspaper and (or is then) calling the police.
