Good points! In my experience, habits can be quickly formed by 1. Commitment & Repitition 2. Overcoming emotions in most cases our body/mind will not like the new change initially 3. Staying motivated n focusing on the advantages that the new habit will bring

Stable context is such an important, but often neglected factor. Many times I have built good routines, only to drop them completely. Now I realise the common factor is a change in context - having a child, moving house, even holidays all have a big impact.
