Yes, Magic is an inspiration, but the rules are simpler and the games faster. The drafting and gameplay are also surprising deep for just 3 cards.

I'm a game publisher, but I would actually recommend Drive-Thru cards. This kind of game has been out of vogue for a couple years, so a publisher would be more inclined to pick it up completed. It would also improve your bargaining position if you have a more complete product.
