Politically, The only unbiased bias is evaluating govt legislation on whether it protects individual freedoms or not? If it does vote yes, if not vote no.

Wrong. Protecting individual freedoms is bias towards libertarianism and individualism :P

We are wired to follow the path of least resistance. Hence, we prefer to ignore what we do not agree with and agree with what makes us feel good. Especially if we notice that it makes feel good quite a few people around. We aren't wired to admit that bcs of internal resistance.
