There is nothing to do with “private interest” people are dying. People are been killed.

Why is it then that we're only interested in the crises in natural resource rich countries? Several advisors have made the U.S. economic interest in privatizing Venezuela's oil clear, e.g.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTE0SQA2jU8 …

It is unproven that there are any malicious intentions in regards to US foreign policy with the case of Venezuela. What is true, though, is that the Nicolás Maduro's de facto dictatorship is responsible for killing protestors, including indigenous tribes. They must be overthrown.

Should the U.S. military overthrow every corrupt government? We have a long history of forcefully intervening in other countries to instate leaders favorable to U.S. interests.

I am not in favor of US military involvement. However, I don't see the parallel. Most people thought Iraq was about 9/11. Another big difference is that Venezuelan citizens are in a really bad spot. Lastly, based on their own laws it seems that Maduro is not the leader.

This is an oversimplification if there's ever been one. Correlation does not equal causation. The Venezuelan humanitarian crisis is real.

Easy Team America: World Police. Who said the crisis isn’t real? We should question any aspect of our involvement that goes beyond strictly humanitarian efforts. There is a hairs breadth between applying tough pressure and acting upon our threats and our track record is reckless.

I'm your fan after you stepped in with your Google memo. IN this case, I ask that you research more before making further comments. I am a venezuelan. We the people of Venezuela are suffering from this regime. We have been asking for help for years now. There is no propaganda.
-
Correction: there's A LOT of propaganda. Cuban & VE intel funds misleading anti-USA far left factions worldwide; TeleSUR, RT, eg. But humanitarian, repeat, humanitarian crisis is not propaganda. The real question should be: Why so often is US the only one taking direct action?
